The Frederick High School 9th Grade Boys Basketball team won the Consolation Championship of the Carnegie 9th Grade Tournament on Saturday, December 5th, beating the Fort Cobb- Broxton Mustangs 63-40. Trevor Flores had 18 points including 4 3-pointers, Tanner Oxford had 17 with 5 3-pointers, Grant Hoover reached double figures with 12 points, and Cody Ables narrowly missed double points with 9. This was the most complete game the 9th Grade Bombers have put together offensively, in large part because of the rhythm they were in by hitting down some outside shots, 11 3-pointers as a team. By improving to a 4.1 shot in the year the team feels like they have yet to play their best basketball.
