Tillman County is included in the White House approval of aid request for the December blizzard in Oklahoma

Federal aid was approved for Tillman County and 28 other Oklahoma counties that received heavy damage from the Dec. 24-25 blizzard.

 Federal funding is available to state and eligible local governments and certain private nonprofit organizations on a cost-sharing basis for emergency work and the repair or replacement of facilities damaged by the severe winter storm.

 Damage surveys are continuing in other areas, and additional counties may be designated for assistance after the assessments are completed, according to the Federal Emergency Management Agency
