The Frederick Bombers lost their third district game at Bridge Creek last Friday night. The Bridge Creek Bobcats are sitting atop the standings in our district and it shows in the level of competition they brought to the game. Despite the reputation Bridge Creek had though the Bombers gave them their game of the season, in my opinion. The Bombers matched them big play for big play and score for score most of the game. It wasn't until the fourth quarter that the Bobcats put the game away. The Bobcat's last score was with less than a minute on the clock. The final score was 46-28 in favor of Bridge Creek. That puts the Bomber record at 4-4 overall and 1-3 in our district. The remaining two games should prove to be very important for Frederick. If we beat Hobart next Friday night and then Crooked Oak the following week, we should nail down 3rd or 4th place. That would put us in the playoffs and give them a shot at proving ourselves in postseason play. GO BOMBERS!
